COW Awards – Volunteer Service Awards

2025 BALLOTVote to select the TOP Winners in 7 different categories – or pick up/drop off a paper ballot at Edgewood Town Hall and Community Library.

COW Awards (Community On the Way) recognize Edgewood volunteers and organizations that support community activities in Edgewood, New Mexico. Nominees must be an Edgewood community member or business/organization that provides volunteer service or sponsors activities that brings positive energy to the Edgewood community.

ABOUT: Without volunteers our community would not be the great place that it is today, so in 2025, we are bringing back the COW Awards! This year’s awards ceremony & potluck banquet will be held on March 13 at 6:00pm at Estancia Valley Classical Academy (independence Hall) in Edgewood.

HISTORY:  In 2001, the Edgewood Parks & Recreation committee created the COW Awards to recognize the many dedicated volunteers that served the Edgewood community. They were first held at Alta Mae’s Heritage Inn (now a private residence), and for a number of years the awards were an annual event. The venue changed several times, but it was always a fun tradition that included cow-themed everything, lots of good humor and laughter, and a potluck dinner. Many of Edgewood’s steadfast volunteers have been COW Award recipients.
