ABOUT: Without volunteers our community would not be the great place that it is today, so in 2025, we are bringing back the COW Awards! This year’s awards ceremony will be held at Estancia Valley Classical Academy in Edgewood.
HISTORY: In 2001, the Edgewood Parks & Recreation committee created the COW Awards to recognize the many dedicated volunteers that served the Edgewood community. They were first held at Alta Mae’s Heritage Inn (now a private residence). For a number of years the awards were an annual event. The tradition included cow-themed everything, lots of good humor and laughter, and a potluck dinner. Many of Edgewood’s steadfast volunteers have been COW Award recipients.
