In 2023, Edgewood's town commission authorized acquisition of road-building equipment to begin the process of paving (chip sealing) high traffic volume roads in the community. The first completed road was Appaloosa Lane. The town seeks grant funding from a variety of funding sources to support its road improvement projects.
Road Projects - The Road Department is currently preparing a 1.2 mile portion of E. Venus Rd. for paving. West Venus Rd. is set for paving between NM 344 and Horton Rd. Additional roads under engineering review and planning include: Church Street East, Horton Rd., Nugent Rd., and Steeplchase Dr. Road work often requires coordination of services with different utility providers.
Town of Edgewood Snow Response Plan - Snow removal is often a complicated process as several agencies work quickly and efficiently together to keep the roads safe and passable for the community. Please view Edgewood's Snow Response Plan to gain a better understanding of the process and its immediate priorities to the community.
