Come Meet Our Adoptable Animals!

We understand that adopting a pet is quite a commitment for both you and your future furry companion. Therefore, we highly encourage the public to meet and interact with our adoptable animals.  The animal control officers are frequently out in the field, so please call 505-281-5717 beforehand to set up a meet and greet with an adoptable animal.

Adoption Fees

Our current prices for adoption are $65.00 for cats and $75.00 for dogs.  This includes a spay/neuter surgery and a rabies shot.  Also included is the animal's first booster shot and  free wellness exam at one of our local vets.

If the animal you adopt is not fixed at the time of adoption, you will receive a voucher to have the surgery scheduled at a later date at a local veterinary clinic in Edgewood.  This delay most often occurs for puppies and kittens which are too young to be fixed.

The adopter has the option of choosing a different vet to do the surgery, however, the adopter assumes the responsibility of all costs incurred if the surgery is not fulfilled through a local veterinary clinic in Edgewood.

Barn cats, otherwise known as feral cats, are $15.00.  This includes a spay/neuter and a rabies shot.  These animals cannot be released until they are fixed, as they are not socialized and are meant for outdoor living and pest control.
