Tax Help New Mexico is a free service for people whose household income is $57,000 or less or those who are 65 years or older. Tax Help volunteers are certified by the IRS and are trained to help taxpayers identify tax credits for which they're entitled to. Tax Help is operated in partnership between CNM and the United Way of Central New Mexico.
The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) is an independent organization within the IRS that ensures every taxpayer is treated fairly and has an understanding of their rights. Advocates may be able to help if you're having a tax problem that you haven't been able to resolve on your own.
